Thirty Hong Kong athletes were awarded "Education Scholarship Scheme" scholarships with a total amount of more than 1 million yuan (HK$, the same below) to support them in studying different courses and assist them in their retirement and transformation.

  It is reported that HKACEP was established in 2008 and is committed to providing employment, education, life skills and consulting support for planned and retired athletes.

HKACEP has provided 791 Hong Kong athletes in the service plan provided in the past. Since the launch of the plan, more than 6 million scholarships have been awarded to 116 athletes with outstanding sports achievements.

  In the service plan, the "Education Scholarship Scheme" supports Hong Kong athletes in taking different courses, helping them to retire and transform and strengthen their competitiveness.

A total of 30 athletes were awarded scholarships this year, amounting to more than 1 million yuan. The award-winning athletes include Li Jiawen, Guo Haoting, and Li Zhenhao.

  Hong Kong Association and Olympic Committee President Huo Zhenting said that HKACEP has received positive support from all walks of life and hopes that retired athletes can successfully develop their second career, bring the outstanding characteristics of sports to the workplace and continue the Hong Kong spirit.

  Hu Xiaoming, vice chairman of the Hong Kong Association and Olympic Committee and chairman of the HKACEP committee, said that HKACEP has successfully aroused more people's attention to the development of retired athletes and plans to equip retired athletes with workplace knowledge to help them integrate into society more easily.

He hopes that in the future, he will be able to promote more different plans, more comprehensively support athletes and promote the public's interest in sports to make contributions.

  In addition, the second "Star Companion Transformation" senior program in the service plan was officially launched on the same day.

The service plan aims to connect newly retired athletes with famous retired athletes who have successfully transformed and have rich experience, and help them adapt to the transition period and develop their second career.

This time, there will be 9 "star seniors" to support and assist 23 students in their transformation.
