On October 21, 1945, People's Artist of the RSFSR, actor, director and producer Nikita Mikhalkov was born. He became famous at the age of 18 thanks to his role in the cult film by Georgy Danelia "I walk around Moscow", and later was remembered by the viewer for his vivid images in the films "Station for Two", "Cruel Romance", "State Councilor". Already the first full-length directorial work of Mikhalkov - the Eastern "One among strangers, a stranger among his own" - has earned popular love. Nikita Mikhalkov's contribution to cinema has been repeatedly noted abroad: the director's films received awards at the Cannes and Venice festivals, and the film Burnt by the Sun took an Oscar as the best film in a foreign language.
