The number of road deaths fell in September, Road Safety announced on Tuesday, with 11.3% fewer deaths.

Despite this improvement, the organization notes a "significant increase" in the number of deceased cyclists.

In total, 275 people died on the roads in September, against 310 in September 2019. On the other hand, the mortality of cyclists has increased sharply, with 37 killed, or 15 more compared to last year: the highest mortality in the last ten years, says Road Safety.
