An "alarming" progression of the Covid-19 epidemic in the Alpes-Maritimes.
This is the adjective chosen by the prefecture on Saturday evening to announce a tightening of controls concerning “respect for barrier gestures” in Nice.
This Tuesday, the latest figures released by the government confirm the progression of the disease in the Alpes-Maritimes.
Since Monday, more than half of the places available in the intensive care units have been occupied (53.7% precisely).
There are now 34 people admitted in sheaves, the highest figure recorded since May 1.
Four deaths in one week
The total number of hospitalized coronavirus patients stands at 197. This is 30 more people than a month ago.
As a reminder, at the height of the “first wave” in the Alpes-Maritimes, there were 282 Covid patients in Riviera hospitals.

The total number of deaths stands at 234 since the start of the epidemic, and is currently progressing slowly.
Groups of more than ten people are prohibited on “all public roads” and in “places open to the public” throughout the Alpes-Maritimes, and since Monday private gatherings in “establishments open to the public »Incompatible with wearing a mask are prohibited.
This particularly concerns student parties and weddings.
