INTERVIEW

We saw him parade for men's fashion ... as well as for women.

Alexandre Wetter, 29, has just added a new string to his bow with his first major film role in the comedy "Miss", by Ruben Alves.

The film, of which Europe 1 is a partner and which comes out this Wednesday, tells the story of a young man who decides to enter the Miss France competition.

"It is the beginning of a path towards oneself", explains the one who lends him his features.

"[The character] needed to live his feminine and express it. There is also suffering [in him] but that's what builds him and keeps him going."

"This character made me grow up"

But it's not just the character who learns.

The actor too.

"I took advantage of the film to take a trip to myself," says Alexandre Wetter.

"This character made me grow up, I found the little boy I was before. Even if I did not dream of Miss France but of Indiana Jones."

Moreover, the actor denies being entirely his character, even if they have the same first name.

"Ruben Alves [the director] used a few stories from my personal life, but not entirely."

Alexandre Wetter underwent intense preparation for the role.

Physics, first.

"I lost 10 pounds for the movie."

But not only.

"It's also my first major role," recalls the young man.

"So I learned on the job, two months before, the acting game. It was really an exceptional adventure."

Her years of modeling have been very helpful.

"It was a very interesting experience of my life," recalls Alexandre Wetter.

"These performances [on the catwalks] helped me get into the cinema."

From now on, the actor hopes to be able to "give a little balm to the hearts of people" with this film, whose release, initially slated for March, has been postponed, and which falls at the time of the curfew.

The main message of the work is thus summed up by its main performer: "There is no need to classify things, just to meet yourself. Do not be afraid to be yourself, it is is where you are going to be stronger. "
