The President of the Republic Emmanuel Macron is to receive at the Elysee Palace this Monday the representatives of the French Council of Muslim Worship (CFCM) in the company of the Minister of the Interior Gerald Darmanin, announced the presidency.

Three days after the assassination of Professor Samuel Paty, the government promised, at the end of the Defense Council held Sunday evening, political responses "in the short and medium term" and announced on Monday a series of operations against the Islamist movement.

A "vile" crime

The Head of State demanded Sunday "that we move quickly to action and that no respite be left to those who organize to oppose the republican order".

Faced with those who seek a reason for this despicable crime by evoking the caricatures of the prophet of Islam, we reaffirm that nothing, absolutely nothing, can justify the assassination of a Man.

"Faced with those who seek a reason for this despicable crime by evoking the caricatures of the prophet of Islam, we reaffirm that nothing, absolutely nothing, can justify the assassination of a man", had reacted in the night of Friday to Saturday on Twitter the French Council of Muslim Worship (CFCM).
