The local government stated that with the continuous strengthening of the promotion of wildlife protection in the Qaidam Basin, the reproductive capacity of wild animal population resources has been improved, and the number of wild animals such as snow leopards and rabbits has also shown a steady growth trend.
The hare is stubby and cat-like in size. It can adapt to cold and barren environments. It often lives alone in the crevices of rocks or in the caves of marmots. It mainly feeds on pikas.
