The gendarmes drew up dozens of fines on Sunday after a rave party which took place in Guignen, south of Rennes.

The party despite the state of health emergency which prohibits any gathering of more than six people in public space.

A rave party brought together up to 800 people during the night from Saturday to Sunday on private land in Guignen, south of Rennes, we learned from the gendarmes.

Started Saturday evening, the party continued until Sunday noon.

The gendarmes intervened on the site around 1 a.m.

They observed on site that few revelers wore masks and that the rules of physical distancing were not respected.

Sunday afternoon, the police carried out numerous road checks.

They set 45 fines for drug use, thirteen for driving under the influence of drugs and four for driving under the influence of alcohol.
