A donor sponsored (Amina - a Yemeni - 32 years old) with the cost of her medicine for thalassemia for a period of four months, at an amount of 29,308 dirhams, and she is still waiting for someone to help her manage the cost of her treatment for her next stage, and her mother is appealing to someone to help her with the cost of her daughter's medicine and treatment for life.

The "hotline" coordinated between the donor and the Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities in Dubai to transfer the donation amount to the patient's account at Shakhbout Medical City in Abu Dhabi.

(Um Amina) expressed her gratitude and deep happiness with the generous donation, and hopes that her daughter's treatment will be completed, because they face difficulty in procuring the remaining amount of her medication.

Yesterday, “Emirates Today” published the story of Amina’s suffering with illness, her suspension of treatment for five months, and her family’s inability to manage the cost of medicines.

Amina suffers from thalassemia since birth, and is currently living in a wheelchair, and health insurance (your help card) covered the cost of treatment, but five months ago the health card expired, and according to Shakhbout Medical City, the patient needs treatment at a cost of 14,654 dirhams every two months. , forever.

She added: “My daughter’s condition relapsed before the expiration of her health card, and we took her to Al Rahba Hospital, where she was hospitalized for 20 days, she was under treatment and medical observation, and then she was transferred to Tawam Hospital in Al Ain to receive the necessary treatment, and she was hypnotized for a month and 20 days, noting that she fell into a coma. Due to illness, and previously entered Shakhbout Medical City, where it was found that it needs life-long treatment, the cost of which is 14,654 dirhams every two months, and this is an amount above our modest financial capabilities.

"My daughter lives in a wheelchair, and her condition is getting worse day after day, because we stopped her treatment because of the high cost that we cannot afford, and currently she is without medication or seeing doctors, and we previously applied to renew the (Aounak) card, but unfortunately it was refused to us. We do not know what to do under the circumstances we are going through. ”

She added: “I have a family of 11 members, and my husband is bedridden and suffers from kidney failure and chronic diseases, and we have no breadwinner except for my son, who works in a government agency with a salary of 8,911 dirhams per month, from whom he pays the cost of daily living expenses, so he is confused about how to pay Tuition fees for his children, so I appeal to good people and people of merciful hearts to help us pay the cost of treating my sick daughter in light of the difficult circumstances we are going through. ”
