No curfew for Lille transport.

In the European Metropolis of Lille (MEL), the curfew decreed by the government to fight against the coronavirus epidemic comes into force this Friday evening, at midnight, then from 9 p.m. the following days.

However, Ilévia, delegatee of the public transport service, assured that this would not change the service offered.

During the next four weeks, and probably even until the beginning of December, the inhabitants of the MEL will no longer be allowed to leave their homes between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m., with exceptions and upon receipt.

To return to their homes, the people of Lille will always be able to count on public transport until 9 p.m., and even beyond.

"Ilévia confirms to travelers that no impact is to be expected on the network", assured the carrier on Friday.

Thus, the metro, buses and tram "will circulate at the usual amplitudes and frequencies", added Ilévia.

For medical professions and other exceptions

The idea, of course, is not to encourage travelers to defy government directives, the carrier specifying in passing that wearing a mask is mandatory on the entire network under penalty of being fined 135 euros.

Ilévia maintains its offer as it is for all exceptions to the curfew: business travel, in particular for medical personnel, but also for medical requirements, if you have to go to the airport.
