There will be no exceptions for cinemas, theaters or concert halls.

This Friday, Jean Castex refused any relaxation of the curfew at 9 p.m. imposed from Saturday in several cities in France including Paris, Marseille, Lyon and Lille.

“The rules must be the same for everyone,” said the Prime Minister.

"I am sure that everyone will adapt, including the world of culture", he continued, assuring that the government would deploy "all means (...) to cushion the shock".

The blow is therefore severe for cultural professionals to whom their ministry had given a glimpse of hope by trying to obtain certain adjustments.

This Friday, Pierre Deladonchamps decided to take action.

The actor, revealed in 2013 by

L'inconnu du lac,

which won him a César for best hope, launched a petition "so that live shows and cinema are accepted exceptions to the curfew".

“Where's the common sense?

"

“The world of culture has suffered enormously from the confinement.

He was among the last to be able to get back on the road, under difficult conditions.

Today in theaters and cinemas, health rules are more respected than anywhere else, ”he explains in the text accompanying the petition on the Change.org platform.

And to wonder: “Isn't it exactly the same to take the metro, train, bus or RER for sometimes hours than to sit for an hour or two in a theater or cinema?

Where is the common sense?

"

Posted on Friday morning, the petition struggled to collect signatures quickly.

At 5:10 p.m., 877 people had signed it.
