[Explanation] On October 14, the "Shenzhen Special Economic Zone 40th Anniversary Celebration" held in Shenzhen mentioned that the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area is a major national development strategy, and Shenzhen is an important engine for the construction of the Greater Bay Area.

When Secretary Li Hao served as the secretary of the Shenzhen Municipal Party Committee, the development mode of Shenzhen has changed to focus on science and technology. The development of more than two decades has been based on this direction. The economy is export-oriented and technology-based. Shenzhen’s technological innovation Development is far beyond the reach of Hong Kong.

[Explanation] Chen Wenhong believes that Hong Kong still has many advantages. However, with the rise of Shenzhen, some people in Hong Kong have developed a "rebellious psychology". In addition to the social turmoil last year, radical protesters clamored to be "isolated" from the mainland.

In the past two decades, when Shenzhen has been developing more and more, (some Hong Kong people) thought that Shenzhen had been tainted by Hong Kong, and became jealous.

The main advantage of Hong Kong lies in its internationalization, but Shenzhen is about the same as Hong Kong in terms of internationalization, but Hong Kong has a deeper accumulation in this aspect, and then in terms of finance, the two (regions) have different divisions of labor.

In fact, Hong Kong has many opportunities, and the Greater Bay Area is one of them.

[Commentary] Chen Wenhong believes that if Hong Kong can seize the major historical opportunities in the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area in the future, both Hong Kong and Shenzhen cities can seek development and complement each other's advantages.
