For several months, these cartridges of “laughing gas” have been diverted from their normal use, often by middle and high school students for “festive” use.

The inhalation of nitrous oxide sometimes causing asphyxiation from lack of oxygen with loss of consciousness and risk of wrongdoing.

Cannes had taken a similar step in July

The “consumption” but also the simple possession of this gas are also prohibited in the public space of the Alpes-Maritimes.

As early as July, the city of Cannes had taken a similar measure.

David Lisnard (LR) had signed two decrees to regulate the purchase and use of this gas during the summer.
