Sichuan policeman Li Yutian rescued a girl who fell into the water and died, and the local area has initiated the procedure to declare martyrs

  On October 12, an upstream reporter confirmed from the Sichuan Provincial Public Security Department that the body of Li Yutian, a policeman from the Public Security Bureau of Cangxi County, Guangyuan City, who had lost contact after jumping into the Jialing River to rescue people who fell into the river on October 8, was found.

Li Yutian, who died on duty, was only 31 years old.

  On October 12, The Paper (www.thepaper.cn) confirmed from the Sichuan Provincial Public Security Department that Li Yutian, a policeman from the Sichuan Cangxi County Public Security Bureau who lost contact with the rescuer of the woman who fell in the river, died on duty and his body had been salvaged ashore.

The local procedures for declaring martyrs have been initiated.

  According to a report from the Public Security Bureau of Cangxi County, Guangyuan City, Sichuan Province: At about 15:40 on October 8, policemen Li Yutian and Ou Hao of the Public Security Bureau of Cangxi County jumped into the Jialing River to rescue the woman who fell into the river.

Li Yutian and the woman who fell in the river were washed away due to the rush of the river.

At 16:25, Li Moumou, the woman who fell into the river, was salvaged and had no vital signs. Police Li Yutian disappeared.

  According to previous reports by The Paper, Li Yutian is 31 years old and joined the police after retiring from the army. He is the only child in the family and has not yet married.

On the afternoon of August 3, a 17-year-old high school girl from Cangxi County jumped into the river to lighten her body.

Policeman Li Yutian of the Public Security Bureau of Cangxi County received the police and went to the rescue. Li Yutian jumped into the river and was washed away because of the rapid water.

After many days of searching by local public security, fire protection, maritime affairs and other departments, Li Yutian was not found.

  On October 12, The Paper confirmed from the Sichuan Provincial Public Security Bureau that Li Yutian's body was found two kilometers away from the place where the incident occurred, confirming that Li Yutian had died on duty.

The local authorities are reporting martyrs in accordance with procedures.
