  This year's "Review" section selected 9 new Serbian films shot between 1961 and 1973 for screening, of which 4 films were restored world premieres, and the remaining 5 were Asian premieres; many films were from 1992 Meet with the audience for the first time after years.

  Serbian Prime Minister Anna Brnabic sent a congratulatory letter to this festival. She said that the Serbian films exhibited in this exhibition were extremely important for presenting the cultural discourse story of Serbia and Yugoslavia. The re-screening of these Serbian films once again proved the Republic of Serbia. It has a comprehensive strategic partnership and a steely friendship with China, and hopes that the film festival will contribute to strengthening the cultural exchanges between the two countries.

  "New Serbian Cinema" occupies a very important position in the film history of the former Yugoslavia. This new wave of films occurred with the modernist movement that emerged in the former Yugoslavia in the early 1960s. Many outstanding new directors have emerged, as well as a Criticize film works full of vitality, energy and humanity.

  The films shown in the "Retrospective" section of the Pingyao International Film Festival include "When Love is a Past" and "Three Stories" directed by Alexander Petrovich.
