At 9:31 am on October 11th, 20-year-old Zhuzhu from the Qinling Giant Panda Breeding Research Center of Shaanxi Academy of Forestry gave birth to a male cub weighing 167 grams, well-developed, and safe for mother and child.
This is the third birth and the fourth panda cub ushered in this year.
Zhuzhu was born in 2000 and has reached 20 years old this year. It is currently the female giant panda with the largest number of litters and the oldest childbirth in the center.
