The gendarmes are looking for a dark colored sedan.

During the night from Saturday to Sunday, this vehicle struck a pedestrian on the RN12 at Vezin-le-Coquet (Ille-et-Vilaine).

The victim, a 34-year-old man, died.

The driver of the vehicle involved in this traffic accident fled, under the eyes of a witness.

It was a little more than one in the morning this Sunday when the gendarmes were called by a motorist.

The latter informed them of the presence of a pedestrian on the right-hand lane of the national road connecting Rennes to Saint-Brieuc.

The police did not have time to intervene.

A few seconds later, the pedestrian was mown down by a vehicle which fled.

The accident occurred near the entry ramp on the four lanes, not far from the Belle Epine substation.

Alerted, the firefighters were unable to resuscitate the young man, who was declared dead on the spot by a doctor.

The gendarmes are actively looking for the motorist involved in the accident.
