Lisa Zimouche, 21, queen of freestyle football, social networks and now character in the video game "FIFA 21" -

EA Sports

It is there, like every year, at the same time.

FIFA 21

has been available since Friday on PS4, Xbox One and PC, and should establish itself as the best-selling game of the year.

But the current generation of consoles being at the end of their life, we should not expect a big revolution either (it will perhaps be for the PS5 and Xbox Series).

The 2021 edition thus deepens what it had put in place last year, with the essential

FIFA Ultimate Team

, the new career mode and especially

Volta football

, which brings players back to the streets and therefore to the good memories of

FIFA. Street

.

They will cross on their momentum, or rather will take a small bridge by, the French Lisa Zimouche, alias Lisa Freestyle, queen of freestyle football, of social networks and now a full-fledged character of

FIFA 21

, if not playable (like DJ Diplo or boxer Anthony Joshua).

After the integration of women's teams in

FIFA 16

, Lisa Zimouche is proof, along with other players and ambassadors, that the franchise is opening up to more diversity and inclusiveness.

At his own pace.

20 Minutes

met her for a hop hop interview, that's the goal, you haven't seen anything.

How did this passion for football come about?

I come from the Parisian suburbs, from a district where there were city stadiums and not much else to do.

All of my friends were playing soccer.

I started to touch the ball when I was young, before joining a club at the age of 7, while continuing to play every day at the bottom of my house.

Not to mention football on TV, the World Cup, Ligue 1.

You then switched from soccer to freestyle, why?

I started freestyle when I was 10 years old, alongside club football.

I was in U16 at PSG, with players currently in Division 1. At one point, I did everything, too, with school, football, freestyle… We had to make a choice, and it was natural.

Freestyle is more like me, it stays with a ball, in the world of football, but there is a freedom that I like, there are no rules, no coach.

You are your own coach.

But what is freestyle football anyway?

Freestyle is a mix of art and sport.

It's very physical, it requires being in shape, having a good cardio.

We have the ball, and we do what we want with it, we play with the music, we do shows, Panna, that is to say small bridges.

There are even competitions, like

dance

battles

, with the best

tricks

...

You made yourself known with hidden cameras, where you trap players like Luis Suárez or Ronaldinho…

Initially, the goal was to build bridges for professional and amateur footballers.

I started in 2014, I was on the street, and people were looking at me weird, like "I'm not playing with a girl".

Videos started spinning and walking on social media, and now they're coming to me, but to challenge me.

When did the EA and “FIFA” teams approach you?

FIFA 20

marked the return of street football, 5-a-side or 3-a-side football, with

Volta

mode

.

They told me "here, street football is back, we would like you to participate in the promotion, as an ambassador".

I was not the only one, there were other

street players

, big names like Rocky or Jayzinho.

I was honored, even more as a

FIFA

player

.

FIFA 21

is the next step, I appear in the game. The player can meet me in

Volta's

story mode

when he arrives in Paris.

I was

mocapée

, I lent my voice, in French as in English.

I'm happy to be back, in a way, of

FIFA Street

with

Volta

.

I was playing the first one on a friend's GameCube.

It was also a very strong demand from the community.

It took a long time to have female footballers in “FIFA”, what do you think?

The women arrived very late, on

FIFA 16

, we could then play with the women's national teams.

Now, it is possible to create your avatar, to meet stars of women's football, but it would be good to have the Women's Leagues, to slowly achieve parity.

It's important for women to see that we can be represented.

I had models in women's football, like Louisa Cenib, but I would have liked, as a child, to see players in football games, as well as seeing women's league games on TV.

Things are moving, the 2019 World Cup has helped a lot, there has been real fervor, but there is still a lot of work to be done.

In football in particular, and in sport in general.

And a footballer or Lisa Freestyle on the cover of a future edition?

Ah ah, it's always the question of the year: who will be on the cover of

FIFA

?

[it's Kylian Mbappé for

FIFA 21

].

There are more and more famous players, in the United States with for example Megan Rapinoe, but also in Brazil and France.

So why not.
