Bruno Abraham-Kremer pays homage to the painted Nicolas de Staël on the stage of the Lucernaire theater.

That's all.

One is made of the other, but at the top the two stand out very clearly.

This is what Nicolas de Staël wrote in 1953 to the poet Pierre Lecuire, this is what Bruno Abraham-Kremer said on the stage of the Lucernaire theater.

Around him two musicians, and immense blank canvases suspended from the hangers, on which are projected the works of this unclassifiable painter.

For more than an hour, the actor declaims to the public the letters of this passionate, tortured, demanding artist, with a meteoric journey.

“Nicolas de Staël, the fury of painting” is to be applauded at the Théâtre du Lucernaire in Paris.
