The Los Angeles District Attorney has changed the charges against Tory Lanez.

In July, the rapper was indicted only for carrying an illicit weapon, after a shooting on the sidelines of a party at Kylie Jenner's house in Hollywood Hills, injuring Megan Thee Stallion in the foot.

Since then, the rapper, whose duet with Cardi B,

WAP

, is a hit, has publicly accused the singer of being the author of the shot she received.

The charges have therefore been revised.

Tory Lanez is now charged with "assault with a semi-automatic weapon" and for "possession of an unregistered weapon and loaded in a vehicle", as relayed by Variety.

Dispute

This July 12, Megan Thee Stallion and Tory Lanez were going to the party organized by Kylie Jenner in the same vehicle.

During the trip, an argument broke out between the two artists.

On her social networks, Megan Thee Stallion was quick to discuss the incident, accusing the rapper of shooting her as she got out of the vehicle.

“You shot me and made your press secretary and your people lie on blogs.

Stop lying !

She said in a video posted in August.

She added that she had not accused Tory Lanez in his testimony at the time of the facts because of police violence in the United States.

Tory Lanez released an album last month devoted entirely to the shooting, in which he denies shooting Megan Thee Stallion.

He faces up to 22 years in prison if convicted.
