Photo agency apologizes to Prince Harry and his wife: We pledge never to do it again

Britain's Prince Harry and his wife Megan have reached a settlement with a celebrity photography agency who had photographed their son at home without permission, court documents said Thursday.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex filed a lawsuit last July, in which they said that a number of celebrity photographers used drones and helicopters to take "illegal" pictures of their son Archie while he was at the family's residence in California when he was 14 months old.

According to the documents submitted to the Los Angeles County Supreme Court, the photo agency (X17) has agreed to stop publishing the photos that Archie appears with his maternal grandmother in a park inside the family residence, and has agreed to hand over the original photos and all copies of them.

The agency also offered an apology to the family.

"We apologize to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and their son for the inconvenience we caused ... We made a mistake when we showed these pictures, and we pledge not to do it again," she said.

Harry, Meghan and their son Archie now live in Los Angeles after the couple gave up their royal roles at the end of March.

The family moved out of Britain as hostility increased to the intense media coverage of their private life.
