Former Producer Harvey Weinstein -

Harvey Weinstein is again charged with rape.

This time, it was during the presidential debate in the 2000 US elections that the ousted producer allegedly sexually assaulted a woman he had known for 16 years.

In her complaint, relayed by Page Six, the victim, who does not give her name and is identified as Jane Doe, claims that she met the former boss of Miramax in 1984 at the Cannes film festival.

At the time, she was in a relationship and it was not until 1992, when she found herself single, for the producer to make advances to her.

She says she has met Harvey Weinstein on three occasions, each time "sexually inappropriate".

It was during the third that the rape allegedly took place.

Presidential debate

The complainant goes into detail in her complaint, and explains how Harvey Weinstein lured her to his hotel room in 2000, claiming to want to watch the presidential debates with her (between George W. Bush and Al Gore).

After drinking alcohol and eating sushi, Harvey Weinstein allegedly forced himself to lie on top of her and raped her.

She would only have managed to escape after the fact, but says her career was in jeopardy and she almost never worked again.

Harvey Weinstein's attorney responded to the complaint, saying there was a chance the facts would be barred and he would look into the matter.

Harvey Weinstein is currently in prison, sentenced to 23 years in prison, while awaiting trial for other rapes, in Los Angeles.
