Koh-Lanta, the four lands

lost one of its singing accents on Friday.

At the end of the seventh episode broadcast on TF1, the Ardéchois Sébastien was forced to extinguish his torch, the majority of his acolytes of the red team having decided to eliminate him.

A disappointment that the 37-year-old municipal agent had not seen coming.

Your elimination visibly surprised you ...

I fell from the cabinet.

I took a big uppercut in the jaw.

I was knocked out.

The other adventurers had been very complimentary of you moments earlier.

Did you think at the time that your place in the rest of the adventure was assured?

Absolutely.

I went to the council very calmly.

I thought that my position as a life leader on the camp would have been enough to save me and that there were weaker elements either on the camp or in terms of performance.

You talk a lot about the "value of work" ...

This value is fundamental to me.

I was brought up with it.

I come from a family of peasants.

It is the earth that nourishes us.

What we have today, we had by the sweat of our brow.

I thought that being the good father in the camp would have allowed me to avoid votes against me.

I amused myself by saying that I would get my way through their hunger.

It was not the case.

You voted against Marie-France, but you suggested to others to vote against Fabrice, with whom you were nevertheless very accomplice.

Do you regret it?

I do not regret it in the context of the game, because I was facing a readable alliance, that of the former Eastern team associated with Brice.

My only two options were either to direct my votes on merit and performance and, therefore, to vote against Marie-France.

Or to be more strategic by encouraging people to vote against Fabrice and by highlighting this black ball behind which we could no longer hide by telling ourselves that we would not know if it would prevent the strongest or the weakest from participating to a test.

It was a suggestion.

I spoke to a few adventurers about it, but Fabrice is a human person who defends the same values as me.

He is endearing, we had a certain bond.

I preferred to put human value first rather than strategy value.

But you couldn't limit yourself to inciting others to vote against Marie-France?

It was not possible.

There was a majority that prevented me from tipping them into my camp.

It was complicated.

Have you been too much into tactics and strategy?

Not at all.

I was not a strategist.

I was the real, sincere person who defends certain values such as survival, mutual aid, good humor and listening.

At one point in the game, I thought about a strategy, perhaps awkwardly ...

Other adventurers have said that you seem to be calculating.

Do you understand?

It really is a false image.

Maybe what I said was awkward, but I'm not a strategist.
