Eight municipalities on the Côte d'Azur are also affected by the “flooding by mechanical shock of waves” phenomenon.

Macron wants a reconstruction "very quickly"

The publication of this decree allows the systematic compensation of victims of damage caused by the storm by their insurance company.

Visiting the Alpes-Maritimes on Wednesday, the President of the Republic Emmanuel Macron hoped that the reconstruction of torn roads, gutted houses and water or electricity supply networks would go "very quickly", announcing the release 100 million euros to supply an “06 emergency fund” and 50 million euros from the Barnier fund for the prevention of major natural risks.
