The CFDT wants to increase the RSA.

The government must announce by the end of next week, "act 2" of its poverty plan.

Presented by the executive in September, this economic recovery plan provides for a budget of 800 million euros.

A sum "not up to the challenge," said Laurent Berger on LCI.

Aid to precarious people is "a weak link, too absent (from) the recovery plan", declared the secretary general of the CFDT.

“We must make an additional effort, by increasing the RSA.

Today it is 550 euros (564.78 euros for a single person, editor's note), we demand that it be at least 60% of the minimum wage ", therefore" we must increase (it) by 100 euros ", did -he adds.

RSA for young people

The number one of the union also again demanded "an RSA for young people" under 25 "who find themselves without a safety net", as well as a "stimulus check for the entire population", which would be intended to "help the consumption of food products".

According to him, these measures should target as a priority the categories most affected by the economic crisis: young people, self-employed workers "who found themselves with nothing", temporary workers and employees on fixed-term contracts "who had not accumulated enough rights to have the unemployment insurance ”, but also“ households that were limited in purchasing power (and) find themselves in a situation of poverty ”.

"These, it is absolutely necessary to help them, and this is what is expected of the government", he insisted.
