A man in Izumo City, Shimane Prefecture, who professes to be a fan of Ichibata Electric Railway, donated a station name mark of a local station and unveiled it so that more people would know about the Ichibata Electric Railway running in Shimane Prefecture. ..

The station name was donated by Kenji Tamai, who lives in Izumo City.

At the donation ceremony held at Aikamachi Station in Matsue City, Mr. Tamai handed the completed station name sign to President Mitsuo Karita of Ichibata Electric Railway.

President Karita said, "I agreed with the desire to make the station a place where people gather, and made it at my own expense. Thank you."

The donated station name mark is 75 cm long and 15 cm wide, and the station name is written in hiragana, and it is specially processed to make it look old to match the atmosphere of the station.

Mr. Tamai has been taking pictures of the Ichibata Electric Railway since he was in elementary school, and now he is supporting the Ichibata Electric Railway by posting pictures of the train on his Instagram.

This is the first time that a station name sign has been donated to the Ichibata Electric Railway, and Mr. Tamai said, "I like the quiet station building, but I also want it to become famous. I can see Lake Shinji and see the Izumo Plain. It's a scenic route, so I'd like to liven up it together as a "push" train. "
