The Marseille judicial police were seized of the investigation.
The body of a man in his forties was discovered yesterday late afternoon in a building on Boulevard Chave in Marseille.
He was allegedly the victim of gunfire.
As La Provence relates, the presence of an entrenched and armed man in the same building was reported just after this discovery.
After several hours of interventions, the Raid finally managed to challenge the entrenched man without causing any injuries.
He was taken into custody.
It would not be, according to the prosecutor of the Republic of Marseille, Dominique Laurens, a settling of scores, nor an act of terrorism.
