The third installment of the
Jurassic World
franchise
is the latest blockbuster to postpone its release once again.
Scheduled for June 11, 2021, the episode titled
Dominion
will finally
hit
theaters on June 10, 2022.
This is what director Colin Trevorrow confirmed on his Instagram account.
“We will all be going back to the movies soon.
I'll meet you there, ”he captioned the film poster indicating the new release date.
Hecatomb for cinemas
This week, several blockbusters have suffered the same fate.
The Warner has shifted its entire schedule,
The Batman
being for example postponed by a year as well.
Die Can Wait
, the next James Bond, has also changed dates.
007 fans will have to wait until April 2, 2021.
All of these changes have a direct impact on movie theaters, and therefore on everyone who works.
Cineworld, whose theaters are mainly in the United Kingdom and the United States, relied on the release of these blockbusters to revive the machine.
Alas, the company has announced that it will have to temporarily close its theaters, thus jeopardizing 45,000 jobs.
In France too, exhibitors are at their worst, even if the City of Paris has released aid for independent cinemas in the capital.
