There are strong salary disparities for teachers in Europe.

The proof is with the annual report of the European educational information network Eurydice, from the European Commission, relayed by BFMTV.

According to the study, it is in Luxembourg that teachers are the best paid.

A teacher starting in primary school receives a gross salary of 67,391 euros per year.

In the secondary, the salary climbs to 76,376 euros.

Remuneration 2.5 times lower in France

After 10 years of experience in primary school, a teacher receives on average 87,159 euros per year (gross) and 119,057 at the end of his career.

For secondary school, after 15 years of experience, the salary is on average 106,005 euros to finish at 133,579 euros.

Nothing to do with France, where professors at the start of their careers receive a salary 2.5 times lower than their Luxembourg counterparts.

After 10 years of teaching, the average salary is 30,000 euros gross and reaches 46,338 euros at the end of their career in primary education against 31,450 euros and then 47,855 euros for teachers in secondary education.

The French government has decided to revalue teachers' salaries globally to make up for this delay.

The effort will be focused on beginning teachers.

The budget envelope is 400 million euros for 2021 and will reach 500 million euros in a full year.
