"Appalling and intolerable" acts.

In a long Instagram post published this Tuesday and relayed by Le

Figaro

, actress and singer Lola Le Lann revealed why her first album was not released as planned last Friday.

She explains that she made the decision with her team to postpone it, after learning about accusations against one of the authors of her songs.

“Last Wednesday, shortly after my post announcing the upcoming release of my album, I received a message testifying to appalling and intolerable acts accusing one of the authors of my songs, with supporting evidence,” she wrote.

And I learned shortly after the existence of several complaints as well as a considerable number of testimonies against this same person.

"

"I don't want to waste another minute singing the words of such a lie"

She specifies that she herself had "great differences with this person, but out of hostility to scandals without proof and respect for my team, I always made sure to carry out my project as calmly as possible".

"Only there is always a moment when the truth catches up with you," she adds.

For Lola Le Lann, releasing this album was no longer possible: “I also believe that, in the game or in music, to interpret, to embody, is to give oneself the means to believe in it.

So with the texts of such a person it would be a bit like slipping a snake down your throat trying to sing in tune.

And I don't want to waste another minute chanting the words of such a lie ”.

⚠️ Last Friday was to release my first album.

Unfortunately, I am writing to you today to announce that I have decided to cancel its release, with the support of my entire team.

Last Wednesday, shortly after my post announcing the upcoming release of my album, I received a message testifying to appalling and intolerable acts accusing one of the authors of my songs, with supporting evidence.

And I learned shortly after the existence of several complaints as well as a considerable number of testimonies against this same person.

So the question didn't really arise for me.

Because how can we defend the words of someone who goes so far against our values?

I myself had had great differences with this person, but out of hostility to scandals without proof and respect for my team I had always made sure to carry out my project as calmly as possible.

Only there is always a time when the truth catches up with you.

I also believe that, in the game or in music, to interpret, to embody, is to give oneself the means to believe in it.

So with the texts of such a person it would be a bit like slipping a snake down your throat trying to sing in tune.

And I don't want to waste another minute chanting the words of such a lie.

I send all my support to the women who have crossed this unhealthy road or been victimized by this person.

Also to those who have had and who will have the courage to testify.

Thanks to my team @ unity.group to my producer @yodeliceofficial @spookland_records and my label @columbiafrance for their support.

Patience is the virtue of the wise and I want to put this adage to my advantage.

My album will not be released in due time but when it does, it will be flawless and I hope in the best possible conditions.

Thank you all for your messages 🤞🏼🖤

To finish, the singer brings her support to the women who "crossed this unhealthy road or were victims of this person" and to "those and those who had and who will have the courage to testify".

If the identity of the accused person is not disclosed,

Le Figaro

writes that he is "one of the authors of French pop with 129 titles listed at Sacem, the one that the record companies do not did not hesitate to work with famous and talented artists ”.

According to the daily, he would be accused of "serious violence".
