A gynecologist gives birth to 17 children of his patients without their knowledge in the Netherlands

A news report said, today, Tuesday, that a Dutch gynecologist specializing in assisted fertilization procedures had fertilized the eggs of his patients with his sperm, without their knowledge, which led to the birth of at least 17 children of his birth.

The Isala Hospital - located in Zwolle, in the northeastern Netherlands, about 100 km east of Amsterdam - announced the case on Tuesday, on behalf of the children involved.

The hospital said that the doctor’s behavior was "unacceptable morally."

The doctor, who subsequently passed away, was a specialist in IVF using sperm donated at the hospital between 1981 and 1993.

The issue came to light after some of our now-adult sons researched independently of their biological parents.

A match was found between DNA samples found in many commercial DNA banks and a member of the doctor's family.

The hospital stated that the data was then compared with the DNA of one of the coroner's sons.

The hospital added that it cannot be ruled out that the doctor may have fathered more children.
