Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum, may God rest his soul, is the builder of Dubai, and he is the man who was behind its development, progress and growth, not only in his time, but his effects, fingerprints and vision extended to this day, in addition to his tangible achievements in establishing most of the infrastructure projects. It contributed to the prosperity of the city, for it is he who also built and established the leadership figure that led Dubai to the world in contemporary history, the personality of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, may God protect him.
“Sheikh Rashid was a group of men in one man, possessing will, determination, intellect, vision and ambition, and I personally learned from him, and through his council and his directives, he made sure to cultivate between my two sides those characteristics and qualities that were upon them, may God have mercy on him.

Yes .. God endowed him with the qualities of the leader, and gave him personal qualities that enabled him to run the helm of government in Dubai, and to actively contribute to the establishment and building of the federal state with him and the company of his brother, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan, may God rest his soul, but the qualities and capabilities are not everything, so the personality of Rashid bin Saeed was accompanied by hard work, huge effort, and accurate and continuous field follow-up for all projects. He was not satisfied with remote supervision, and he was not used to issuing orders and directives from his office or his council, but was an engineer among the engineers, and directly supervising the supervisors, and he loved to complete the work under his eye, and thus Dubai rose, projects were implemented, and comprehensive growth and development steps began.
Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed's daily program was constant and unchanging, starting his day at the dawn prayer, and going out to sit on wooden chairs outside his palace at 7 in the morning, he was not late a day, not in a cold or hot weather, this time is sacred for him, in which he begins to follow up projects Where he meets engineers, contractors and officials, he discusses with them, and follows every small and big one, then is not satisfied with their reports, maps and papers, but sets off in his car at exactly nine o'clock in the morning, to start his field inspection trips, seeing with his eyes what he heard from them with his ear, and thus leaves them no room for complacency or inaction He was meticulous in following up every directive, information, or amendment, and after his field tour he set out to his office, to meet people, merchants and guests, and his day did not end at this point, rather he continued his work in the afternoon until the time of the evening prayer .. This was how God’s mercy on him was a flame of Activity, does not tire continuous daily work, and does not break it except on the weekend, as he spends it in Ras al-Khaimah or Hatta, and the vacation is not devoid, also, of following the conditions of people in those areas.
