70 national coaches in Dubai

In implementation of the order of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, to appoint an assistant coach (citizen) for the first football team in all football clubs and companies in the Emirate of Dubai, which was previously issued in support of the citizen coach, and in support of this decision;

His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Sports Council, gave attention to national cadres and qualifies them with a high level of competence to assume technical and administrative tasks in clubs.

The Dubai Sports Council always strives to translate the wise leadership's directives in all areas, foremost among which is the support of national cadres and giving them the opportunity to serve the nation, bring about positive development, and optimal investment of energies and resources.

The appointment of an assistant coach (citizen) for all the first football teams in the clubs of the Emirate of Dubai was an ambitious project.

The Dubai Sports Council is keen to support national cadres, enhance professional empowerment in sports work, and benefit from human resources and national energies that possess the ability, competence and talent, and were in need of opportunity and support.

And the Dubai Sports Council will always remain a strong support for national competencies and support to give them the full opportunity to play their role towards the homeland, in accordance with the Council's strategic plans that include the stage of consolidation in institutional work and development and educational programs for national cadres and workers in the sports sector.

Statistics of the Dubai Sports Council revealed that the number of coaches (citizens) in Dubai clubs increased to 70 coaches for all age groups out of 130 coaches of various nationalities, which constitutes 54% of the total working coaches, and this year witnessed an increase of 24% compared to the previous year. Where the council works to raise it annually through its keenness on the presence of the coach (the citizen) in various technical bodies, whether at the level of academies, football schools or the first team.

This interest comes from the Dubai Sports Council's belief in the importance of the (citizen) coach's role in developing the professional football system, and in strengthening the ongoing partnership to raise the level of football companies.

The result of this interest was the emergence of several coaches on the football arena, such as the able national coach Mahdi Ali, the maker of achievements for the UAE's first, Olympic and formerly youth team, and the hard-working coach Hassan Al-Abdouli with Al Wasl club and the former Olympic team, as well as the advanced coach Salim Abdul Rahman, assistant coach of the first national team now.
