Police said a 30-year-old Vietnamese man arrested in another case killed a woman and robbed the hotel office of cash in the murder of a female owner at a hotel in Maebashi last month. On the 5th, he was re-arrested on suspicion of murder-robbery.

The person who was re-arrested was a Vietnamese national and unemployed Lechuon Zuong (30).



According to police, Zuong stabbed the owner Tsuruko Horikoshi (71 at the time) with a knife at a hotel in Fujimi-cho, Maebashi City on the 10th of last month and killed him with 50,000 cash from the hotel office. There are suspicions such as murder-robbery for robbing 5,000 yen.



On the 15th of last month, Zuong appeared at a police box in Shinagawa Ward, Tokyo, and hinted that he was involved in the incident, saying, "I killed a person in Gunma Prefecture." He was arrested on suspicion of fraud for escaping without paying the taxi he was riding in.



He stated that he did not want to talk to the investigation, and reserved his approval or disapproval.



Police are investigating the motives and circumstances of the case.
