If no time has been specified by the railway company, last year this sale began at 5.30 a.m. for Ouigo and at 6 a.m. for other types of tickets.
Knowing that the first to arrive will be those who will benefit from the most attractive prices, it is strongly advised not to wait too long.
Low rates for first-time arrivals
SNCF has decided that all tickets purchased to travel on the main lines will be eligible for exchange and reimbursement free of charge until January 4.
The objective is to encourage as many people as possible to take the train, even if uncertainties concerning the schedules persist.
Usually, reservations for train tickets are opened four months in advance.
However, there are exceptions for periods when demand is very high, such as the end of the year holidays or summer holidays.
