The last "Yuru-chara GP" Yuru-chara from Rikuzentakata City is Grand Prix October 4, 19:25

The "Yuru-chara Grand Prix", which decides the number one local character in Japan, was held in Takizawa City, Iwate Prefecture, and the local "Yume-chan Takata" from Rikuzentakata City won the grand prix.

The "Yuru-chara Grand Prix" is an event where so-called "Yuru-chara" from local governments and companies from all over the country gather together to decide the best in Japan by voting, and this was the last event.



Nearly 14,000 visitors visited the venue in Takizawa City on the 3rd and 4th, and took pictures with "Yuru-chara" from all over the country.

Finally, the results of Internet voting and voting at the venue were announced, and "Takata no Yume-chan" from Rikuzentakata City, the hometown, was selected for the Grand Prix from among the 397 groups.



"Takata no Yume-chan" is a fairy character born after the Great East Japan Earthquake, with the hope of guiding children to a safe place and delivering dreams and happiness.



Mayor Futoshi Toba of Rikuzentakata said, "This character was born to give smiles to children. Thank you for the Grand Prix."



A boy in the first grade of elementary school who visited from Morioka City said, "I had a lot of fun with various characters. I would like to see Yume-chan as well."
