[Commentary] Speaking of Jiang Nan, the former foreign host of a local TV station in Chengdu, many Chengdu people are familiar with him.

In 1998, Jiang Nan came to Sichuan University from Seattle as an exchange student to study Chinese culture. He chose to stay in Chengdu because of the tolerant city atmosphere and his love for hot pot.

The host, Sichuan dialect expert, and hot pot restaurant owner are now his labels.

[Explanation] When the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holiday came, Jiang Nan put aside the busy business of the hot pot restaurant and learned ear plucking and moxibustion with his new friends.

In 22 years in China, Jiang Nan has spent most of his time in Chengdu except for flying back to Seattle every Christmas to meet his family.

In Jiang Nan's view, this year's sudden epidemic also made the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holiday more meaningful.

I have been in China for so many years, 22 years, and I have seen that there should be more than 20 National Days and Mid-Autumn Festivals.

This year is very special, it is rare to be all on the same day.

Of course, there have been changes in the way in the past 20 years. Now many of them are going out for self-driving tours and traveling, because they usually have too much work and no time to travel.

But this year's epidemic has affected the travel industry, and many people may not travel until now.

Maybe this year's National Day, there are a lot of people traveling in the country, but it also conflicts with the Mid-Autumn Festival, so it is possible that everyone will travel on the 1st group year (gathering) and the 2nd.

[Explanation] Jiang Nan, who has been studying Chinese traditional culture, is no stranger to Mid-Autumn Festival, and even sends Mid-Autumn Festival blessings to his family members across the ocean every year.

And he also deeply felt the changes brought by the development of society and technology to the Mid-Autumn Festival.

In the past, the way Chinese people spend the Mid-Autumn Festival, in my mind, is to eat some moon cakes, family reunion, full of food and wine, then happy, now more people should pay attention to health and culture.

Also this year is particularly popular. Because of the epidemic, everyone is accustomed to this method, and it tends to be a fashionable and modern method, that is, "cloud reunion."

I have been in China for so many years, and I also have a habit of Mid-Autumn Festival.

My family abroad, I am on this grand festival, although they are but, I still have to think of them.

Mooncakes will not be sent to them, but I also want to bless them with the video now.

[Commentary] Mentioned his plans for the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holiday this year, Jiang Nan said that he still chose to stay in Chengdu to make hot pot appointments with friends and "set the dragon's gate".

In addition, we must seize this rare long vacation to study Chinese medicine culture seriously.

My short-term goal is to learn more about Chinese medicine, such as massage and moxibustion, just to do some work in Chinese medicine, so that more people can understand and use this method to improve their physical fitness.

At the same time, (I) will also let people abroad understand and enjoy this service abroad.
