The director of

going to tackle the myth, and he has recruited two leading actors to help him in his task: Oscar Isaac (

) and Jake Gyllenhaal (

) in the roles, respectively, of Francis Ford Coppola and Robert Evans, the legendary producer of Paramount.

Barry Levinson's "Francis and The Godfather" will star Isaac as Coppola and Gyllenhaal as Paramount chief Robert Evans.

Difficult relationship

Barry Levinson also intends to recount the relationship between Francis Ford Coppola and Robert Evans.

Died in 2019, Evans is known as much for his escapades (convicted of drug trafficking in 1980) and his seven marriages as for the great films he has produced.
