Armenian President: Turkey is escalating the situation in the Nagorno Karabakh region, and we hope that the conflict will be contained within its current borders

The Armenian president acknowledged the presence of Armenian foreign fighters fighting alongside the Armenian forces in Nagorno Karabakh, considering this a natural matter, and that any Armenian has the right to fight alongside Armenia, fearing a repetition of the Ottoman massacres against them, and there is no shame in the Armenians helping their brothers.

The Armenian President expressed his country's readiness to accept the Russian mediation for dialogue, stressing that Armenia does not want to escalate the conflict, and called for the mediation to speed up the start of the dialogue, while stressing the cessation of military escalation by Azerbaijan with Turkish support, stressing the existence of daily contacts between Armenia and Russia on the same subject.

On the joint security treaty between Russia and Armenia, the Armenian President affirmed that his country is a member of the Collective Security Treaty, but until this moment it reserves the right to request intervention, and hopes at the same time that the two neighbors, Turkey and Azerbaijan, will stop the war, and if the escalation does not stop, his country will have to request intervention.

Regarding Iranian interference in the conflict, the Armenian President ruled out the interference of any new party in the conflict because this would aggravate the situation, and he also called for Turkey's immediate exclusion from the conflict, calling on the international community to exert great pressure on Turkey in order to put an end to the conflict, as he put it.

He described the Turkish conversation not to intervene in the war and suffice with supporting Azerbaijan as a liar, confirming that there are evidence of Turkish intervention through F-16s, in addition to military equipment, and the Turkish bombing has killed many civilians in the Nagorno Karabakh region.
