A total of 591 baccalaureate holders are still unassigned at the end of the Parcoursup procedure, Minister of Higher Education Frédérique Vidal said on Europe 1 on Wednesday. "We are not letting them down, we will find solutions for them. , they will all be taken care of, ”she assured.

Last year, 1,175 high school graduates were left behind after Parcoursup.

This year, faced with the influx of high school students generated by the record high school success rate (30,000 more students than expected), the ministry decided to extend the complementary phase of the platform by fifteen days, which allows to express new wishes in the formations having places available.

"We have, at the time of the closure of the procedure, 591 high school graduates that we will continue to support, it is less than 0.1%", welcomed the Minister, who spoke of "exceptional support".

Frédérique Vidal recalled that several thousand places had been created this fall to meet demand, especially in BTS or in paramedical training.
