JR West "Special Rapid Service" 50th Anniversary Commemorative Mark Vehicle Release September 30 16:53

The special rapid train of JR West, which connects Kyoto and Kobe across Osaka and has influenced the development of the area along the railway line, will be the 50th anniversary of the start of operation on October 1, and will be a commemorative head. The vehicle with the mark has been released.

At JR West's Amirai General Vehicle Station in Taishi Town, Hyogo Prefecture, there are three trains on the 30th, including a vehicle with a head mark commemorating the 50th anniversary of the special rapid service and a vehicle that was in operation until 20 years ago. It was released to the press.

JR West's Special Rapid Service began operating between Kyoto Station and Nishi-Akeishi Station in Hyogo Prefecture on October 1, 1970 during the JNR era, and is said to be the "private railway kingdom" where private railways have an advantage due to low fares. The service area has been gradually expanded in Kansai, and now it operates between Tsuruga Station in Fukui Prefecture and Banshu Akaho in Hyogo Prefecture, which has more than three times the business distance as the original.

Condominium development has progressed around the station, and commuting areas have expanded, which has influenced the development of the region.

From October 1st, JR West will publish documentary videos of users on its website, display panels at three stations in Kyoto, Osaka, and Sannomiya, and sell related goods on the Internet. ..

Katsuyuki Haneda, director of the Amirai General Vehicle Station, said, "I want to continue to operate without forgetting the desire to provide safe and secure vehicles."
