From October 1, 2020, the waters of Taihu Lake will officially enter the lake closure period.

On the morning of September 30, Ruan Yulin, deputy director of the Agriculture and Rural Bureau of Binhu District, Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province, announced that the fishery management radar monitoring system for the Taihu Lake in Binhu District will be officially launched at 0:00 on October 1.

The radar system has an effective scanning radius of 16 kilometers and a scanning area of ​​plus or minus 135°. It can track 64 targets at the same time. It covers the waters of Taihu Lake in the Binhu District and is located in the country of about 100,000 acres of Mei, Coilia, River and Clam around Wugui Mountain and Tuoshan Island Grade aquatic germplasm resource protection zone.

The system relies on 5G, big data, AI, and cloud computing technology to collect all-weather data on the target location and driving trajectory scanned by radar tracking, and monitor the movement of ships in the Taihu Lake area of ​​Binhu District for 24 hours. Once suspicious ship information is found, the system will guide Fishery law enforcement boats and drones conduct evidence collection and law enforcement.
