The police arrested 4 perpetrators who participated in the beating.

After multiple investigations and evidence collection by the police, the assailant violated the relevant provisions of the "Public Security Administration Punishment Law of the People's Republic of China," but it did not constitute a criminal offence.

On September 16, the Xianju police imposed administrative detention on the assailants Chen Moyu and Cheng according to law for 13 days; on September 19 and 28, the beaters Gu Mojie and Chen were given administrative detention 10 Day penalty.

  The notice pointed out that the Taizhou Public Security Bureau attached great importance to the case of a woman in Xianju who was assaulted by multiple men during a late night snack reported by the media. The relevant verification is now reported as follows:

  After investigation, at 3 o'clock in the morning on September 11, Gu (female) and her companion went to a night snack stall on Xiangshishan Road, Nanfeng Street, Xianju County to eat supper.

At about 3:20, Chen Moyu, Cheng, Zheng and other three people also came to the supper. Chen Moyu came to share cigarettes and chat because he knew her female partner at the same table.

During the period, Chen Mouyu borrowed a lighter from Gu and put his hand on Gu's shoulder, which aroused the other side's disgust, which led to physical conflict.

After being persuaded to untie, Chen Mouyu and Cheng Mou called Gu Moujie, Chen Mou and other two people.

Later, Chen Moyu, Cheng, Gu Mojie, and Chen beat Gu again, and Zheng did not participate in the beating.

According to forensic identification, Gu's body injury was minor.

  After the incident, the perpetrator fled the scene, Xianju police, after continuous and in-depth investigation, successively arrested 4 perpetrators who participated in the assault.
