A new custody for extortion.

Michel Campanella, considered the “godfather” of Marseille, was taken from his cell on Tuesday to be heard by the judicial police.

As La Provence recalls, he had already taken into police custody at the end of June, before being indicted and imprisoned, already for extortion cases.

This time around 20 other people were arrested by around 100 police officers.

This crackdown comes in an investigation for extortion in an organized gang, but on facts other than those alleged.
