She is nicknamed the "Indian Greta Thunberg".

Licypriya Kangujam is only eight years old, but she too is a climate activist.

Born in the Manipur region, a mountainous state in northeastern India known for its clean air, she says she was shocked by the poor air quality when she arrived in New Delhi.

“Air pollution is dangerous.

Even children cannot leave their homes.

The health of students and infants worries me, ”says the young activist.

On September 23, she took part in a climate protest to challenge the Prime Minister and the country's deputies.

Its objective: to urge them to adopt a new law limiting carbon emissions.

India is the world's third largest producer of greenhouse gases.

The capital of 20 million inhabitants experiences violent pollution peaks every year.

Last November, the American Embassy in New Delhi recorded a fine particle concentration of 810 micrograms per cubic meter of air, 32 times more than the maximum not to be exceeded according to the World Health Organization.
