In the past few days, Golmud City, Haixi Prefecture, Qinghai Province, has implemented the "picking up cigarette butts for special products" activity. Citizens only need to bring their picked cigarette butts to the Golmud Qinghai-Tibet Electronic Industrial Park to register for exchange. The special products to be exchanged are determined according to the number of cigarette butts. One cigarette butt can be exchanged for a bag of red goji berries, 150 cigarette butts can be exchanged for a bag of quinoa, 200 cigarette butts can be exchanged for a bottle of goji berry honey, and 1,000 cigarette butts can be exchanged for a bottle of quinoa wine.
Since the launch of this activity, local citizens have taken action one after another, and currently about 200,000 cigarette butts have been exchanged.
