A case was found in which incorrect data was entered in a system that aggregates information on people infected with the new coronavirus introduced by the government for the purpose of reducing the burden on health centers, and the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare decided to change the system so that health centers check I did.

"HER-SYS" has been introduced to health centers and medical institutions nationwide since May for the purpose of reducing the burden on health centers.

Previously, the health center received a fax notification from a medical institution and entered the data of the infected person, but in "HER-SYS", the government requires the medical institution to enter the data directly.

On the 28th, the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare held a meeting of experts and reported that a case was found in which a medical institution was entering incorrect data.

For this reason, the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare proposed and approved the system so that the input data would be checked by the health center and the Institute of Health.

We will also modify the system to add the ability to detect obvious errors in the data later this month.

In addition, it was reported that only 41% of medical institutions answered that they were "entering data" in the questionnaire to medical institutions, and in order to reduce the burden, patients suspected of being infected need to be hospitalized. I also decided not to ask for input if it was negative.

The Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare says, "We will continue to improve so that the burden will be reduced as much as possible while seeking the cooperation of the health center."
