"We would like to extend a big thank you to the people and institutions that have made this possible," says Montmartre's chairman Michael Christiansen in a press release.

The club announced in early September that it had closed down operations.

The reason was financial worries due to the Danish corona restrictions.

The news received a lot of attention as Montmartre is considered one of Europe's most classical and influential jazz clubs.

Politicians and private financiers were involved in saving the club, something they have now succeeded in doing.

Montmartre plans to open its doors again in early November and the operation of the club will be guaranteed for at least four years.
