A person in charge of the river chief's office in Haozhuang Township, Wuji County said that they are arranging machinery and manpower to clean them up and plan to finish the clean up at the end of the month.

On September 24, four counties and districts including Wuji County and Laishui County had typical outstanding problems in the implementation of the river and lake long system and river and lake cleanup and remediation work, and were interviewed by the Hebei Provincial Water Resources Department.

  In the Chencun section of Haozhuang Township, Hutuo River, Wuji County, a reporter from the Beijing News did not see any machinery working at the scene, but villagers passing by said that excavators and dump trucks were gradually cleaning up rubbish these days.

A reporter from the Beijing News visually observed that a garbage pit was nearly 100 meters long, 20 meters wide, and 5 meters deep at its deepest point. In addition to construction waste, there were also various types of domestic waste.

According to a villager, in the past two years, villagers have continuously discarded domestic garbage and construction waste, forming a garbage pit.

  Regarding the current rubbish clean-up work, Director Zhang of Haozhuang Township River Chief’s Office stated that a forklift, an excavator and 15 trucks have been arranged to clean up the rubbish.

"In addition, the township contacted a cleaning company and placed a lot of trash cans in the village. The initial results have been achieved." Director Zhang said that the trash cans are cleared every day, and most people no longer throw trash into the riverbank.

  In addition, Director Zhang said that starting from the 20th, before being interviewed, the garbage spots have been cleaned up, and it is planned to be completed within this month.
