There are now nine police custody as part of the investigation into the stabbing attack in Paris on Friday, which left two seriously injured.

Another man, a 33-year-old Algerian, arrested quickly after the incident, was released Friday evening and "exonerated".

The investigation was opened by the National Anti-Terrorism Prosecutor's Office (Pnat) for “attempted assassination in connection with a terrorist enterprise” and entrusted to the criminal brigade and the General Directorate of Internal Security (DGSI).
